As much as I hated and stressed over my Life Drawing class, it did teach me to experiment and try to always be expanding as an artist, which is an invaluable lesson.

Tried creating mood with lighting in this one. I'm still debating whether or not I like it. I will say this straight up though that I HATE coloring Kit's (the girl) hair! FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!! D :< Black is the worst color EVVVVVVVVVERRRRRR to color with!! Her face is stupid too but whatever.

Ugh, fucking black...

EDIT: Sorry for the repost. I took ~RenjiLuvah's advice and fixed Kit's eye. And the face looks SO much better now because of that little tweak. Thanks much girl!

lol! Ok, he's just leaning in, trying to be sexy you know, and she's semi-threateningly holding a wrench (she's supposed to be a mechanic) to his face to put an end to that, but at the same time still kinda flirting back. It makes sense in my head. xD

I always love how fluid your lines are and their clothing and their hair. As for light and mood, I don't know what mood you were aiming for, but if you were aiming for dark room or alleyway mood, I think it's about right. And she does look a little cross eyed(maybe her left pupil should move some to the right?), but her hair color looks fine to me. :D

I was going for dark and sexy. Guess I gotta keep working on it. xD;

Yeah, I hate her face in this picture. I dunno how I messed it up in the inking, cuz it looked fine in the sketch. And I think my problem with her hair is that I put too many lines in it. It's good for lineart, but a pain in the ass to color (especially if that color is black lol).

Ah, well dark and sexy was fine too, maybe you can tweak the colors or look at other images to see how they deal with light to get that affect? I tend to associate dark and sexy with warm tones or less saturated colors like this:
